Full Details
Eligibility
Participants must be between the ages of 10 and 16 on the competition date.
Performances can be by single artists or duets only.
Each participant or duo can perform once in the first round and up to twice in subsequent rounds.
Performance Guidelines
Types of Acts: Singing, dancing, instrumental music, magic, comedy, and other talents are welcome.
Duration: Each act must be at most 2 minutes.
Content: All performances must be family-friendly—no offensive language, gestures or content.
Parents: All participants must be accompanied by a parent or minder.
Props and Equipment: Participants must provide their own props and equipment. The event organisers will provide basic sound and lighting.
Registration
Deadline: Register by September 19th, 2024.
Form: Complete the registration form, which includes a name, contact details and a link to your audition.
Fee: Participation is free.
Auditions and Selection
Submission: There are no live auditions. Judges will select the top 15 acts from submissions received by September 19th.
Notification: Selected contestants will be informed by September s1st and must be prepared to perform on September 28th.
Location: Vacay Bar, Lion Walk – Colchester.
Selection Criteria: Participants will be judged on talent, originality, stage presence, and overall performance.

Awards and Prizes
Prizes: A selection of special sponsor vouchers and gifts.
Terms & Conditions
Participants in the children’s talent contest must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. By attending this event, you consent to the following:
- Photography & Videography Waiver: Photos and videos may be taken during the event. By attending, you grant permission for these images to be used for promotional purposes.
- Flashing Lights & Loud Noises: The event may include flashing lights and loud noises which could potentially trigger health issues in sensitive individuals.
- Liability Waiver: The organisers are not liable for any injuries or losses incurred during the event.
- GDPR Compliance: Personal data collected will be handled in accordance with GDPR regulations.
- Safety & Security: Ensuring the safety and protection of children from harm is a priority. Security personnel will be present.
- Health & Safety: Please follow all health and safety instructions provided by staff.
- First Aid: First aid assistance will be available on-site.
- Prohibited Items: Weapons, illegal substances, and any items that could cause harm are strictly prohibited.
- Lost & Found: The organisers are not responsible for lost or stolen items. A lost and found service will be available.
- Emergency Procedures: Familiarise yourself with the emergency exits and procedures.
- Behaviour: Inappropriate or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event.
- Ticket Terms & Conditions: Entry is subject to the terms and conditions of the ticket.
